Compared with the physical MVS console, the sound of the NEOGEO core is not crisp.

Which physical MVS console? What's the audio filtering like on that product?

The analog out on the I/O board has a very weak DAC if you're using that. Try HDMI audio or mini-TOSlink optical.

Modified RCA stereo output MV1B or MV1C.
Compared with the MiSTer HDMI digital output , the treble of the MV1B / MV1C is clearer.

Ah. Well since the Neo Geo core is attempting to be accurate to the original hardware, you could probably ask for a high-pass audio filter to be made that might help with that from the Filters_MiSTer github repo.
