Hi guys,
DECAPOD is a SNAC/DB9 Splitter for MiSTer created by Antonio Villena. It allows connect 5 types of classics controls (for one or two players) directly to CORE (no linux, no polling, no intermediaries here, it connect direct to fpga pins, 0 lag)
I share some videos of its operation in case you want to take a look at it. Greetings!

Decapod for MiSTer SNAC/DB9 Classics Controls
Re: Decapod for MiSTer SNAC/DB9 Classics Controls
Bookmarked. I saw this on Twitter, looks just what I'm looking for. So will this also handle Atari 2600 controllers via DB9? Because I know there's some crossover between the MD DB9 and Atari 2600.

I'd love support for Atari and Commodore paddles (also spinners maybe) and joysticks. As well as for other old consoles that use DB9 connectors (like Vectrex and Colecovision).
Is an Amiga mouse supported in any other way than using a generic USB mouse? The current solution is really sluggish.

Is this locked into Antonio's hardware ecosystem? Doesn't he use an extra gpio pin for his snac connection or something? I thought that was how he was able to hook up two controllers through it.

I dig up this post....
Antonio Villena has done a USB version of this DECAPOD.
This DECAPOD USB works with Mister , PC, and any system which can recognized the DECAPOD.
here the link : https://www.antoniovillena.es/store/pro ... capod-usb/.
This post is not a disguised advert for the USB DECAPOD....
I'm trying to update my USB DECAPOD ( firmware here : https://github.com/GAsinPrieto/DECAPOD-DaemonBite/) without any success.
Does anyone knows how to update this system ??

Hi. First download the complete folder, not only the .ino file. Then open the .ino with Arduino IDE, then select "Arduino Micro" on menu Tools/Board. With the decapod inserted into the USB port of your PC, select Tool/Port and select the new port created when the decapod has inserted. Then select Program/Upload or press Ctrl+U and wait 10 seconds until the compilation/updating process. Normally the update is about latest 1/2 seconds.Oliver_Twist wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:52 am I dig up this post....
