Analogue IO board v6.0 with missing User port pins
Hi all
I have an Analogue IO board (v6.0) with the User port pins missing.
Was wondering if I can resolve this myself by soldering in a 10 pin header or if there is anything else to it?
Cheers

Re: Analogue IO board v6.0 with missing User port pins
I can now answer this myself, the answer is YES! I had some spare headers knocking about so slotted one in (unsoldered) and tested it and it works fine.
Tested it successfully with the SNES and NES adapters but no joy with the Megadrive adapter, I've seen somewhere that the IO board needs an additional mod but so far have been unable to locate details for that.

As you realised the v6.0 IO board will not work with the SEGA controller adapter, here is some information on the modification. Hope it helps.

Thanks Nat. I just realised I bought some bits from you recently for my two Misters, although unfortunately I did not get my analogue IO boards from you. Lesson learned for next time!
Re: Analogue IO board v6.0 with missing User port pins
Hi,
unfortunatly I have the same problem with a SNAC not running on my IO Board and I don't know how to fix this. Can anyone help me out with some Info about what exactly is to do and which parts I need to buy? Is there any way to get around this without soldering? Otherwise I don't see another option than buying a new IO Board.
Thanks in advance

Re: Analogue IO board v6.0 with missing User port pins
Thanks Anthony,
that helps a lot. Can anybody tell me if these are the right pins that I need to populate it by myself?

I have never done this before but I want to try it by myself because I want to learn how to do this stuff.

Re: Analogue IO board v6.0 with missing User port pins
Many of the Chinese produced v6.0 IO boards seem to have this issue, as in they are all missing the P7 header pins.
If anyone else has this issue, just drop me a message via my website I am happy to post you a set of pins out free of charge to so you can fix your own IO board, you will need a soldering iron and some solder and basic soldering experience to install the pins but it is not difficult.
