SMB3: Super Mario Adventure romhack not running?

Anyone had any luck running the Super Mario Adventure Romhack? i've tried different ips and none show the graphics correctly, even though it says it runs on a normal NES

it took me a minute to get this one running, but i finally did find a working copy to run on the MiSTer.

You need to use the same rom as described on romhacking if you didn't do that

I was able to help someone on the MiSTer Discord get it working. It doesn't work because of some SRAM issue but someone made a patch for that:

The SRAM patch is not directly available to download from the OP but the second post in that thread is by Drakon and he mentions combining the patch with his RGB patch. THAT patch is available and I was able to use it on my SMB3 ROM and it worked.

its been some time since i patched this to play on the MiSTer, but the method geiger posted sounds familiar and was what i did to finally get it working as well.
i remember struggling to get the ROM playable, but it was totally worth it !
