This is just a question out of curiosity.
Is it possible to use another SBC with more power/cores instead of the HPS by interfacing it over GPIO and putting the DE10 nano into EPCS mode?
I am no developer, but eager to learn what's possible.

If you were going to do such a thing, you might as well start with a different FPGA as well...
It's possible, but don't underestimate the number of interconnect pins you would need between these two chips.
