MiSTer HDMI and Switches

Unread post by Ryuoken »

I have been using my mister on a standart hdmi switch. Suddently today it stopped working. At first i thought that the hdmi output got fried, but it seems that when i connect the mister directly to my tv it just works.

Any ideas on what would be the problem?

Did you try turning it off and on again?

It is the HDMI-CEC line getting hosed up by the mister.

Either get a CEC-less cable, or a CEC-less pass through plug.

Some HDMI switches are kinda crap.
Especially when you buy a rando cheap switch.

This is the Switch I use, I have a Nintendo Switch, my MiSTer, a Game Cube via Carby, and a PS3 connected.

The PS3 give some issues but it's a flaw with the PS3 and not the Switch.
It is my great regret that we live in an age that is proud of machines that think and suspicious of people who try to.

Thank you to all who helped!

I'll try one of those two solutions.
