Unread post by Rooki3 »

I recently purchased this monitor and messing around with ini I can't seem to fix my issue (see picture). Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks for your help in advance.

Are you using forced_scandoubler=1 in your ini file by chance? Or switched the scandoubler osd option to anything other than "none"?

That is the error. Scandoubler creates a 31KHz signal for VGA monitors, you need to set it to 0.

Have one more issue, not sure how to fix this one. See picture, screen looks slanted. I can't adjust from monitor or it goes to hell. Is there a custom setting to use for this monitor? It's playable but would like to have even. No settings from core fixes it either. Thanks

Don't know if is the cause of your issue but it looks like you have a strong magnetic field near your monitor. If that's a speaker on top of your display try moving it away and see if it improves the picture.

That pink discoloration in the upper left corner looks like magnetic distortion. Some more recent CRT's I used to own had degauss buttons to fix this.

Maybe this one has knobs somewhere to fix the slanted image. Centering should also have knobs. Looks like trapezoid distortion which should be fixable but I don't know about this particular CRT.

The second one looks like your screen can't sync to the signal. Reminds me of sending too high resolutions til my old VGA monitor decades ago.

There are two issues that I can see:

- You need to rotate the magnetics on the CRT neck (take apart the monitor) to fix the slant. This can kill you if you shock yourself, so watch some youtube videos on how to adjust CRT's.

- You have discoloration in the corner. The thing on top of the monitor is probably causing it so get that away from your screen. You can degauss the CRT by turning it off and on. It might take a few days to clear up.

Hope this helps.
