Show Us Your MiSTers
ill start off
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
(Have you got a picture of how you the connections go on the bottom of the USB Hub?)
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
Currently using an external USB hub. I think I need up upgrade to a USB bottom board, however I will then need a new case
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
I'm undecided what to do with a case at the moment. But I did take apart an old'ish SSD I have to see just how big the internals were - lots of space saving to be had if you do that
Pete
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
I like the internal connection that doesn't require additional cables for the USB board.

@macle
case was from : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000314 ... 4c4dpkOt0C
led buttons : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383327295446
5v LED Momentary
rj45 extension : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231892513917
micro usb connector : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303123759381
usb : https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/type-a-u ... s/8621567/
Ive had a few questions on how to wire the leds/buttons to the i/o PCB :
@crystal - all connections on the USB hub are soldered underneath for neatness as using the usb plugs it was getting really tight, this way i can even fit a usb HDD in there once i require the room.
@taw6 - i dont have any pics of the underneath, but its just a bunch of wires soldered to the usb/power headers
@mmmonkey and trazome thanks for the comments, i did take a pic using the usb connectors, it was starting to get crazy tight in there, plus i didnt like the usb cables being bent nearly 90 degrees
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
https://misterfpga.co.uk recently posted this custom ordered usb hub https://www.instagram.com/p/B_XeOlTHVNh/
looks like something that might be slightly better for setup like this

Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
I am so confused, how is that USB 2.1 being powered? I don't see it connected to anything?
Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
Some more info about the led buttons you used and the wiring of them would be greatly appreciated. I am currently in the process of installing my Mister into an Arcade 1up cabinet. I plan to add the user interface buttons to the front of the cab. I assume you used the 5v versions. They come in a few types as well ( momentary/latching etc). Any extra info would be helpful. Your case is one of the nicest I have seen. Thanks.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
MiSTer Specs:
Noctua NF-A4x10 Fan (really recommend)
SDRAM XSD v2.5 128MB
I/O Board v6.1 XL
SMS/Genesis SNAC
Retrobit Saturn Controller
I have a USB to PS/2 adapter so that I can use my old Microsoft ball mouse for Atari ST
The case is an acrylic case from zerohimself. I love the look of it so much. In person, it looks as if it's glow in the dark. Obviously I had to get a nightmode shot in there!

Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
You mean internal splitter? Yes, we use the Power Y pin to bridge inside. One cable will make the job.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTer
Care to update you posts with some more pictures of the inside? Would be much appreciated. Have an old SNES case i like to use for Mister as well, but hooking stuff up to IO board scares me a bit
