Modern C64 Variants ?

New here and waiting for my parts from far-flung parts of the world to start my Mister up.

I tried to search on this subject but can't seem to find anything on the subject. For the C64 core is anyone considering a MEGA 65 based core or extension of the C64 core, and secondly is there anything one considering making a core for the MAYBE SOME Day finished Commander 16 project.

The Mega 65 is almost pure FPGA so their core may be easier to convert while the Commandor 16 is going to be mostly discreet parts except for an FPGA sound implementation. I was just wondering now that the ZX Spectrum NEXT core is out.

It would be nice to see these new projects on the MISTER.

If this has been covered somewhere sorry and can anyone give links to those threads.
