I have a question to enthusiasts of Commodore's less popular machine.
MiSTer's C16 core has an option to switch between two different computer models — Commodore 16 (expanded to 64K) and Commodore Plus/4 (64K by default). Is there any practical reason to switch between these two models, given that they feature the same amount of available memory? Are there any other differences which may break compatibility with expanded C16?

Re: Commodore 16 and Plus/4
I'm not sure the C16 had an official memory expansion to 64K, just a hardware modification AFAIK. The Plus/4 has 64KB, but also four productivity applications built-in (I suppose that is purely a ROM difference). Apart from the form factor there are no other differences that I know of.TLPD-AVW wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 10:20 am I have a question to enthusiasts of Commodore's less popular machine.

Re: Commodore 16 and Plus/4
You are right, there was no official Ram expansion for the C16.LamerDeluxe wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 11:01 amI'm not sure the C16 had an official memory expansion to 64K, just a hardware modification AFAIK.
