USB Controller Issue with input and moving on its own...

Unread post by madmax »

Hi,

I have some issue with my controllers on the Mister

My Setup:
-I/O v6.1 Board Standard (Black PCB)
-DE Nano
-USB Hub V2.1 (Mister Addon Black PCB AC Adapter plug version)
-USB Bracket (Usb to Pin header type)
-5V 4A AC Adapter
-Logicool K400 USB Keyboard with Unified Receiver
- Mister OS and Core are up to date.

Affected Cores:
-SNES
-CPS1
-Neogeo

Affected controllers:
-iBuffalo Classic USB (PC)
-MayFlash Arcade Stick Elite (Multi platform)
-EXAPRIZE Sanwa Arcade Sticlk (PS3)

Issues:

1. Sometimes the controller will move to the right or down by itself (observed in Super Mario World on SNES and SF2 on CSP1)
2. Sometimes Cannot press some key at the same time ( A + B in KOF on Neogeo), or special attack move not registering properly.
(controllers confirmed working on RetroArch and MAME on PC, so this is not a controller issue)
3. Sometimes losing keyboard input (Have to the receiver or reboot the mister)

Note :

1. Tried with both original AC adapter 2A and 4A. I dont think this problem is related to power.
2. I used fast USB polling script but reverted it back to default (Mister Scripts) did not helped.

Question :
- What could be the root cause and how to prevent it from happening. What should be investigated first
- Can the controller configuration become corrupted/messed up by setting multiple different controllers
- when configuring controller, should I skip the "Analogue X Y", "TILT", "MOUSE" if the controller has only digital input
-Can Ethernet connection may affect this issue ? (should the cable be unplugged when playing ?)

Thank you

Thank you for providing this helpful information.

So, basically, I should not map "mouse emu/sniper" to my controllers.
Whenever I want to play such shooting / laser game, What would be the best approach to configure my controller ?
Thank you
