1600x1200 screen, 800x600 resolution and the Minimig scaler

Hey all,

So I bought a 1600x1200 hdmi panel a little while back and got a perfect full screen resolution eventually (now easily) with AO486 and 800x600 resolution.

On Minimig, I install RTG and try 800x600. The scaler somehow decides my screen isn't big enough for full screen and puts a tiny screen in the middle of my screen.
Using 1600x1200 fits in the panel perfectly, but is way too small for workbench, plus it takes a lot of processing power to push that display(!)
So I was wondering what would prevent 800x600 scaling up. Playing in standard modes, I notice the scaler jumps around when changing the screen size using MiSTer's screen size functions. Could the screen resize function somehow affect the way the scaler works on RTG?
