Dodonpachi Controls Broken [Solved]

Hi, I mentioned it some time ago in the cave thread but was not able to solve my problem until yet. Can you help?

Q1:
I have problems with the control:
Joypad up pauses the game
Firebutton 1 not only fires but steers also right
Firebutton 2 not only fires but steers also left
Redefining the buttons does not help. Sounds familiar? How did you fix it?

Q2:
Which of the several Dodonpachi versions from the menu do you start?
(I use the update_all script)

Addition: it is a 8bitDo M30 2.4g Mega-Drive-Lookalike
A Ps3 Controller does work!

Does the 8BitDo work in other games as intended? Did you try to set the 8BitDo up in the MiSTer Main menu again?

Hi and thank you for you questions.
The 8bitdo works in almost all of the CORES pretty well.
In the PCEngine-Core it behaves wild if I configure it as a 6 button pad. Configured as 2 buttons = no problems.
In terms of configuration, I did both: the main menu config and the core-specific configuration.

Very few games on the PC Engine can accept 6 button input; most would “freak out” if the 6-button controller was selected from the OSD

Fixed.
Solution:
- Connect the keyboard
- Connect the M30
- Enter core specific controller settings
- Enter "yes" on the question for alternative config
- delete all alternative associations with <SPACE>
