Help with X68000

I've run "update all", and put some x68000 ROMs / disc images in the appropriate folder, but when I load the core I just get 4 vertical lines, and the f12 menu just gives me the following 2 options:

- aspect ratio: 4:3
- reset

I've tried the other function keys, and mapped my controller.

Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I don't think the update_all script is aware of the latest versions of this core. What you say sounds like a very old version.
