Minimig - Amiga screen is not center (shfited to the right)
Hi,
With my new screen I saw the Amiga screen is not center (I mean the zone used to display game or WorkBench) I don't have set RTG mode on my side and I don't have any configuration on MiSTer.ini related the core Minimig.
First screenshot It is Rick Dangerous launched from a KickStart with an ADF. You can see the zone to display game is shifted to the right. Second screenshot is Workbench, we can see the same behaviour. With my previous screen 16/10 this behaviour was hard to see.
Is it a case already discuss ?
Thanks,

I'm sure there is a setting in workbench/prefs that can move the screen position..
The music is reversible but time is not. Turn back. Turn back

I used mostly ADF files and just workbench for small cases.
There is also an option Adjsut screen position in the OSD on the core but it has no effect for my LCD Screen maybe used just for CRT.
It will be good this part of the screen to be center by default for working in workbench or outside workbench

I actually thought the opposite, because it does nothing on a CRT.
The horizontal shift is normal, it's the same on real Amiga. On a CRT, especially a monitor, you can adjust it. On LCDs you probably just need to get used to it, same as with the other Amiga display quirks.

This thread (if you can see past teh bickering) talks about the horizontal shift: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=67165
I was thinking mostly about the all different resolutions (sometimes within one game), NTSC/PAL divide and how it all affects games. Eg many (most?) of them displayed in PAL are (in)famously squished, which is normal but also displayed in the upper portion of the screen, which can be a bit disconcerting if you compare with other micros (all had borders, but displayed in a more centered fashion). I grew up with Amiga and it has never botehred me back then, but now that I can compare with other machines it does stand out.
You can have look here as well:

Re: Minimig - Amiga screen is not center (shfited to the right)
One thing that might be considered a display quirk is that if a screen is centered too far to the left, sprites 7 & 6 will not display due to lack of DMA bandwidth.
I think this is why a lot of games tend have the screen centered more to the right.

Re: Minimig - Amiga screen is not center (shfited to the right)
The resolution of the minimig core in PAL mode is 1508x286.
If we set the mister to the resolution 1920x1080, the display is correctly center.
On this screen, I made pictures. The resolution is 1280x1024 and it is the max this screen can do. In this case the display it is not correctly center maybe because 1280 is below 1508 ...
