Sorry if this has been answered before.
I have a DELL U2713HM 2560x1440 LCD monitor. I'm currently running the Mister at 1920x1080 (mode 8). Everything is fine but I noticed there is a 1920x1440 (mode 12). But if I try to use that I get a error on the LCD telling mode to use a mode like 1920x1080. No idea why this happens, but since this is NOT in the list of Windows display resolutions; I assume it's not possible. Question, is 2560x1440 not a doable resolution? Thanks
DELL U2713HM Display Question
Re: DELL U2713HM Display Question
2560x1440 is a odd ball resolution that don't have clearly defined standards so many PC Monitors and HD TVs that are at 1440p or 4K don't like 1440p input. Example my Samsung 8 Series 4K TV doesn't like 1440p despite being 4k
It is my great regret that we live in an age that is proud of machines that think and suspicious of people who try to.

Re: DELL U2713HM Display Question
Not all monitors or TVs support all resolutions
My LG OLED65E6 can accept anything between 240p-1200p, but it can't accept anything beyond that other than 2160p.

Re: DELL U2713HM Display Question
1920x1440 is already overclocking the Mister's scaler/hdmi chip, 2560x1440 is just too high a pixel clock.
You might give 1920x1200 a try with a custom video mode.

Thanks all for the info. I'll leave it as it is. No point breaking what isn't broken
