Screen trembling and flashing when in "command line"

Unread post by silentheaven83 »

Hi everybody,

sorry for the dumb question. I plugged in the MISTer to my new TV via HDMI, and when the main was updating i got these problems on the screen:

Do you know what are and what is causing them?
I just bought the Digital I/O board and it happens only on "command line screen".

Thank you!

I see the same sort of thing with the recent update (early september?).

I'm using vanilla DE10-Nano HDMI out into a 4k monitor (no IO board at the moment).

Not sure why, and it doesn't really bother me, but confirming it isn't just you or your setup... and its a reasonably recent occurrence - i never used to get that a couple of months ago and prior.

Looks like a memory bandwidth issue.
Can try to reduce console resolution and/or colour depth.

The scaler buffers are a bit too small.

How do you do that?
Is this
fb_size=0 ; 0 - automatic, 1 - full size, 2 - 1/2 of resolution, 4 - 1/4 of resolution.
