Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
I’d love it if someone had a go at a core for Tekhan’s Star Force. From what I’ve read, it shares a lot in terms of hardware with Bomb Jack, but no schematics seem to be out there. The only additional data I’ve seen is either in the mame driver, or at http://www.ukvac.com/forum/star-force-s ... 43481.html

Hi.
KC 85/3 Kleincomputer from East Germany. Loved the games in my childhood, especially "Pursuit".
Software Emus and technical docs exists so should be no problem to create a core.

I'm assuming you are aware of this.
While technically it's not exactly what you are asking for, that arcade machine seemingly coexisted in the DDR with what you remember using at home

I would love an R-Type core.
This game was all I played back in college.
Had a machine on campus canteen.
Only game I finished in an arcade.

Would like to see some of the discrete IC games on Mister. These are basic impossible on Mame and would be perfect for FPGA, though maybe quite a bit of work. Not sure what has survived of these, would need schematics, at least, and probably an original board too? Here's one of the later discrete IC games.

We are missing football games, so I would love to see either Taito Kick and Run or its bootleg Mexico 86. That would be just a dream for me!

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
Sadly, we can never have true vector gfx games with current displays. OK, there are a few out there, but they're "simulated" still.
It's a shame we don't already have this I don't like to poke on developers, but come on, that's a classic that shouldn't be missing!
I hope you're boasting a MiSTer compatible trackball for that one

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
This is a pretty out there suggestion maybe, and don't know if it's even possible, but it would be good to have a (pre-smartphone) phone core to play all those pretty much forgotten J2ME games like Doom RPG and Rollercoaster Rush.
You could play them on a keyboard numpad to get the original feel, or map inputs to a controller too I guess.

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
The Sol-20 seems like something one of the several devs who work on old computer cores would be interested in, I assume all the parts in it are already in other cores so may not be too difficult at this stage, that site has a lot of docs on there, and it also seems to have something of a fan base if that site is to go by.

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
This seems to be very similar to the Altair. Original software is available, it seems to be well documented, and it has an emulator, so a core should be very possible.Moondandy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 6:54 pm The Sol-20 seems like something one of the several devs who work on old computer cores would be interested in, I assume all the parts in it are already in other cores so may not be too difficult at this stage, that site has a lot of docs on there, and it also seems to have something of a fan base if that site is to go by.

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
You can all laugh at me but I'm actually really happy with it as it is. I'm not into PlayStation, I'll probably give it a try, maybe one or two games maximum, same with Saturn. I'd love an N64 core but I realize it's so unlikely to happen. I only need SNES, Gameboy, Genesis, NeoGeo, PC Engine, Amiga, Spectrum a few arcade cores and that's me happy for ever!

I want to add the Superman Arcade game by Taito to my list. That was actually a fun Superman game.
