Indeed, it no longer works.

I agree that the T64 format is unnecessary and shouldn't even exist.

GameBase would be much better without the T64 files.

On the other hand, it would be better and more logical, if T64 were in the Tape menu.
The standard command to load a T64 or a TAP file would rather be :
LOAD "", 1,1 or LOAD "", 1 or just LOAD

And I bet this breakdown is only temporary, since it's been working fine before. Thankfully somebody has already reported it.

I made you a batch to convert the T64

Thanks mate, but I'm just going to wait for the fix :) Whatever the t64 format's faults are, they do not really bother me.

There are no benefits to using T64. It's an old, outdated container that was never meant for mass use.
tap, d64, g64, prg - there is nothing more needed.

Don't forget the many variations of .CRT, which imho are the the most convenient modern format for the C64. :)

I’m having exactly the same problem, T64 not working anymore when mounting them like the disks. 😔

Well, yes, I suppose. But d.81 is just as redundant as T64.
I mean, 99.9% of C64 games, and software is on tap, d64, g64, prg, crt. Why would you need the others ?
It's like having a car to go from a to b, but you decide to take the lawnmower.

.d81 is VERY simple to understand - avoidance of disk swapping. It's why it existed in reality, it's why it exists in emulation.

Never had a reason to use it, and I have used a real C64 since 1984. Even today, using a breadbin C64, and a Pi1541, I have never had a reason to use .d81, and never will. And disk swapping with emulation ? It's hardly a chore. It's not like you are removing a real floppy disk from 1541.

Sam's Journey makes use a lot of disk swapping. Even to save the games progress. Other games? Not so much.

PI1541 read .d71 and .d81 too ;)

Yay, it's all back to (ab)normal after today's update! The .t64 lovers can load it via FDD again :)

Would be possible to implement in the core of commodore 64 tapes loads from TAP or T64 load images, is there any way to do that?

I think I do not understand what you are saying, but loading TAP or T64 files is already possible.
