2 players game on 1 screen?!
2 players game on 1 screen?!
Is it possible to play SF alpha 3 and Tekken vs modes with just 1 screen?
Re: 2 players game on 1 screen?!
I don't think it is possible at the moment. Though that would be a great feature. I'm not sure how much space the GBA is taking up, seems unlikely that it is using 50% or less. While it would be a novelty, I wonder if some of the console cores could run multiple instances. Having a speed run competition of Super Mario Bros split screen would be pretty fun.

There is not enough available logic inside the Mister FPGA and by far too few Memory.
To make this possible, the core would need to be stripped down to a bare minimum, removing most of the optional features.
The effort is just not worth it, when other consoles with native (and usually better) multiplayer options are available right now.

Hmmmmm...
what about 2 mister and 2 screens? Does the wifi modes work with them?

That would be much easier, but only via direct conneting cable, as the GBA internally expects the answers in realtime, so no Wifi.

The most likely way this would be implemented is to use SNAC for link cable support.
Re: 2 players game on 1 screen?!
What would be interesting is if you could have the second controller mimic the data sent over the link cable, you just have one GBA being processed for both players.
There would be some obvious limitations, it would only work if both units would be looking at the same screen which would be the case for the fighting games mentioned.

Still wouldn't really work. Even in cases like that, each player would still have to navigate the menus to get to vs mode on their own screen, and probably do the character select screen. The only time the display would be "shared" would be during the fight. Plus, you'd still have to have the core running twice at the same time for it to work, at which point you might as well just do dual windowed screens.
