Hi all,
I hear the recent Linux updates are kind of messing with the Wifi drivers. There's a fix but it hasn't been pushed yet. Any idea for when the update will become available?
Thx!

Re: WiFi drivers being messed up by recent updates
Good to know, I was thinking that my wifi adapter was junk.
Re: WiFi drivers being messed up by recent updates
Yes the update also broke my previous working WiFi. Didn't bother yet to try a fresh install.
Re: WiFi drivers being messed up by recent updates
I tried a fresh Mister install and still experiencing the same issues.
Maybe my Dongle is fried? Any advice on what dongle to buy?

I don't think this list is actually useful anymore. I bought the Canakit and it worked great but recent updates seem to have rendered it useless.Xbytez wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:22 am Some working WiFi devices are listed here:

Re: WiFi drivers being messed up by recent updates
I'm having this issue after doing an update in the past week or so. Tried an rtl8188eu and an rtl871x chipset, and neither works anymore. The 8188eu I had originally had to compile the driver for, but it seemed to be working without for a while before this most recent update broke it.
If it's useful to anyone, there is small exception stacktrace in /var/log/messages that I can post.
Edit: Even though everything else on my network appears to be working perfectly fine, I rebooted my router and now MiSTer can connect.
