Alternative spectrum ROM
Hi all
Just read this article and thought I'd share it with everyone.
Basically, it's a replacement ROM file for the speccy with basic removed but different features added.
I'll be having a play with it tomorrow but wanted to share it with other speccy fans

Re: Alternative spectrum ROM
Title (website one, not yours) is a bit clickbait, but it's for Arcade Game Designer development purposes, as right now people load a TAP to create a game using ZX Spectrum...

Re: Alternative spectrum ROM
I want to use another "rom" in Mister's ZX Spectrum, is it possible? I tried to find where is the "rom" directory that Mister's ZX Spectrum, but I couldn't find it, does anyone know where it is or if it is possible to change?
Ps. there are 2 files in the Spectrum directory "boot.rom and boot.rom_rc196" but they are not being used!

Re: Alternative spectrum ROM
Uh? It works for me in games/Spectrum/boot.rom. In fact that's where it is with the new distribution system. https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Distrib ... s/Spectrum
boot.rom is a collection of ROMs with 48K, 128K, +3 and I believe others. Which one do you want to replace?

Converters I've written: Floppy DIM/FDI/FDD/HDM to D88, D88 to XDF, Tape SVI 318/328 CAS to WAV
