Alternatives parts for SNAC

Unread post by sk8er000 »

Hello everyone,
I'd like to build myself a SNAC for my MiSTer but I'm really struggling to find some components, exspecially those 2:

- U1 - PMIC-LDO-XC6206P332MR-G (SOT23)
- Q1-Q8 - BSS138

I usually order from mouser because since I'm in Europe I have free shipping over 50$ and no customs fees but I can't find thoese parts anywhere else. Is there an equivalent for those 2 components?

Thank you in advace

Hi sk8er000 and sorry for pissing on your thread , but could you also please take a look at this and possibly materialize it for us, the unwashed masses who can't solder?

It would be godsend if someone in Europe can make and distribute this!

Soldering something like that should be pretty easy..
At the moment the hardest pitch I soldered was the ps1 digital flat.

I'm not a professional by any mean anyway.
The problem is not soldering and assembling but finding all the required components in the same place without going in some aliexpress auction where usually you'll end wainting for a couple of months and sometimes to discover that the package was lost.
If someone is able to find all the components I can assemble the boards (if isn't a huge number XD)

Hi skBer000,

Are Q1 & U1 from Farnell not OK for you ? :

https://be.farnell.com/search?st=bss138

Reichelt has also the Q1 in stock : https://www.reichelt.de/index.html?ACTI ... e&q=bss138

Oh sorry I did not catch this for U1.
You still have Ebay as plan B
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302758423876
It is UK but some remain in stock (maybe need to dig more on Ebay to find better price)

I'll try to give a look.. I don't know if I had bad luck but when ordering components on ebay, even if in the auction it's reported that the seller is located in Europe the item is shipped from china so I'm always a bit reluctant to place an order for those items. At least on ebay there's the PayPal protection..

Hi,
For U1, you can replace it with a similar LDO SOT23 regulator (3.3V 200mA).
Be aware that sometimes pinout can differ from a manufacturer to another.

For the XC6206P332MR-G pin 1 is GND, pin 2 output, pin 3 input
A possible substitute is : Microchip MCP1703A - SOT23A mouser reference 579-MCP1703AT3302ECB

Thank you very much for your indications, maybe I've found another suitable substitute for Q1, I think that 595-TPS7A0533PDBZR could be a good candidate too, what do you think? Just to find some alternatives.

For the MOFSET what are the important parameters to look at? I was looking for a SOT23-3 Nchannel RdsOn 3.5 Ohms.

Where can I find the schematic of the SNAC ? It will be usefull to confirm what substitute you can use.
Quite often MOSFETS are just used for signal commutation, so you have to look at the polarity (N channel or P channel), the gate/source voltage (Vgs)
the resistance between drain and source (Rds) is important in high power applications, but probably not so critic for small signals.
input capacitance may be important too in high frequencies applications. But you are not working at 150Mhz for a joystick controller

Probabilities are high that you can use almost any N channel mosfet with the correct pinout.

Here's the github of SNAC: https://github.com/blue212/SNAC.

Thank you for the claricications, now I have a better undersanding of what I need :D .
It's really difficult to source components these days even for a couple of small projects (some SNAC and LLAMA stuff) :(

Finally I was able to assemble a very little part of what I've ordered but I can confirm that the alternatives parts are working fine viewtopic.php?t=3433

thank you!
