New to MiSTer, What are the Arcade limits?
I'm really new to the MiSTer, a complete novice really, but so far I'm very impressed with what is available for it
but what are the limits for the Cyclone FPGA?
would it be possible to recreate something like Outrun or Afterburner with their multiple processors?

I would say pretty much everything pre-Dreamcast (~1999) is possible. So, N64, Saturn and Playstation are within the realm of possibility, with the N64 being the least probable.

Whoops, just realized this is the arcade forum. Well, I still say everything arcade from the 90s is still on the table. Anything after that is not very likely. Cheers.

Maybe SEGA SATURN would be a more likely approach to hopefully run the PSX and N64... Remember Radiant Silvergun for example ! Great Game.

Anything 2D is probably possible given a motivated developer. Number of processors / chips on a game is not an issue, assuming there is enough memory bandwidth and space in the FPGA to describe the logic.

It's hard to know that for sure. It seems like with the hardware the F3 has that it could be possible. But until someone actually tries to develop it we won't know.
