A500 (OCS) vs A1000 (OCS) chipset option.

I was under the impression that both these models use the same chipsets. Why would you pick one over the other? Isn't the A500 OCS chipset fully BC with A1000 software?

The A1000 OCS had a different Agnus, then the A500 OCS:

Is there any notable software applications where this makes a difference?

No, it's just historical accuracy. Any software pre-EHB works fine on OCS Agnus.
