Installing Cannonball on Linux side?
Has anybody successfully installed Cannonball (Outrun engine port) on the Linux side?
Is there an install script, or are there instructions somewhere?

Cannonball is amazing. Been playing this on my Nvidia Shield through Retroarch and it's the best version I've ever played. So smooth and fast.

Re: Installing Cannonball on Linux side?
I don't have setup instructions, but I did get a chance to try it. It was a bit disappointing, with choppy audio that makes it feel like bad emulation. Graphics looks nice and run smoothly, though. It's probably better to wait for a core...
Re: Installing Cannonball on Linux side?
that's surprising given that CannonBall is not emulation but a direct port of the original code. I would expect the capabilities of the ARM core to far exceed the original Outrun hardware.

Re: Installing Cannonball on Linux side?
As there is no dedicated soundchip in the DE10 Nano board, at least the sound has to be produced in software entirely (read: emulated) and reproducing the Outrun soundhardware accurate can cost a lot of CPU performance alone.
