I saw a YouTube video where someone had a USB cable connected between User IO Port -> Power Only USB Port. Why would you do this?
Can someone explain the purpose of these two ports even when not connected to eachother?

They probably had a BLISSter setup, not a USB setup. BLISSter boards are sort of like SNAC, and let you use native controllers with adapters. The BLISSter board needs to plug into the USER port for the LLAPI to work.

There's absolutely nothing to gain by plugging the USB power port into the USER port, and that very well could cause damage.
