MT32 Pi Hat with Digital IO Board
Hello,
I have a Mister with the digital IO board v1.2.
I just got myself a MT-32 Pi Hat and the new device does not work - nothing shows up on the hat display (the Raspberry Pi's red and green light are active so something is happening). I tested with 2 different PI (both 4b) - same thing.
Is the MT-32 Pi Hat compatible with digital IO boards, or is it only for analog ones ???
Thanks all!

Did you make any changes to the configuration file. I had the same issue and had to change a couple of setting, I haven't got the MT32 in front of me at the moment so can't remember which settings I changed. I will look when I get back later.

You were right ! it is not just mt32-pi.cfg that needs editing, but also config.txt where the PI3 section needs to be removed if you have a PI4
Thanks !!!
Thanks !!!

This is not true; mt32-pi is regularly tested on both Pi 3 and 4 and this has never been necessary.FredFromBerks wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:17 pm ...where the PI3 section needs to be removed if you have a PI4...
Re: MT32 Pi Hat with Digital IO Board
The only edit I made to config.txt was uncommenting the avoid_warnings=2.
IN mt32-pi.cfg I changed mister=off to mister=on in the [control] section. In [LCD] section i changed type to = ssd1306_i2c.
I was using one of my pi 4s to start with but them changed to a pi3A as it fits better, I didn't notice a lot of difference by changing.

Re: MT32 Pi Hat with Digital IO Board
Thanks all. I really can't think why it started to work then if my change to config.txt wasn't the cause, as I did not change anything else in between tests, I believe. I don't want to post things that are not true, but my edit of config.txt got something to happen, directly or indirectly... whilst I spent the rest of the afternoon tinkering with the main cfg file without success, but then again probably I missed something.
Anyway I am glad my MT32 pi hat works, it is actually really nice, and I warmly congratulate the developpers. I rediscovered some games from the late 80s with new dimensions to them.

Hello "FredFromBerks" today I received my Mister with digital io board 1.2 and after turning on the MT-32pi hat the Mister does not recognize it, the Oled screen does not turn on but the red and green lights are with the same operating activity as you reported, you could share all yours SD card content for me to test?
