Cheat system for C64 core
Cheat system for C64 core
I would love it if there was a cheat menu for the C64, as is implemented for NES and other cores.
There are thousand of documented cheats for C64 games, I would volunteer to create cheat files for those if the MiSTer system supported it.
I play mostly CRT files from the OneLoad64 collection. In my opinion OneLoad64 is a "de facto standard" for C64 games now, which makes it easy to create checksums for the exact files contained in the collection.

Re: Cheat system for C64 core
Almost every C64 release has a 'cracked' version with trainers, etc. I'd say it is more difficult to find a game that doesn't have a trainer and that there is no real need for a C64 cheat menu for the MiSTer core.

Pretty sure gus0650 understands that they can get trainers and cracked versions etc — but once you have started using OneLoad64 .crt files, it’s hard to go back to any other way to load your C64 games.
Consistent user experience between the different cores is also great.
Count me in as someone who would love for this to happen!

Re: Cheat system for C64 core
Of course, OneLoad64 isn't meant to replace scene releases with intros and trainers. But indeed, it's always nice to have an alternative fast-loading CRT set, hence my work on the collection.
