I really like Intrepid. It is somewhat similar to Elevator Action. It has maze sections behind doors where you have to dodge enemies (you can't shoot) and retrieve items you can or have to use. You need a key and code to rob the safe and an umbrella to safely jump off the building and escape. It is also possible to sabotage the elevator (possibly trapping an enemy).

Mission Elevator is a pretty good "spiritual sequel", especially on Amstrad CPC.

You must watch the movie "Cloak and Dagger". Still one of my favorite movies. It is a classic and has lots of retro gaming stuff in it. It is available on Peacock for free.

Elevator Action is a classic and still very much fun too play. I would also love to see it. Elevator Action, Jungle King, Kangaroo and Marble Madness are my most wanted.
