Donkey Kong 3 and Mario Bros Cores?

Anyone else having issues with Mario Bros? I get slow down and other weird issues. Sometimes when starting the game it is fine, but after about 30 seconds, Mario will start warping around the map, usually eventually settling stuck under the bricks.
I've tried deleting the files and reinstalling them, rebooting MiSTer, trying different video sync settings. Nothing seems to resolve it. I am not having issues with any other cores, just this one. The rom I have was acquired using the Retrodriven MisterMAME script. Is it possible I have a bad rom?
The video that Amoore2600 posted on youtube doesn't seem to have any of these issues.
Is this an isolated issue with just me? Any suggestions as to what I can check to maybe resolve this issue?
EDIT: After rebooting again, now I am getting another set of weird behaviors. Rom speed seems to be fine, but occasionally mario will hit an enemy that doesn't exist. When he tries to hit an enemy through the bricks, they don't flip over. It seems that the sprites aren't in line with where the actual enemy is. Really starting to think the rom I am using is not the correct rom.

Rom "dumped" from update_mame-getter.sh here.
Works really fine (sound is super-b against MAME), but It's very off-center on my old crt. Please add position adjusment in next updates.

I went ahead and made a video of the odd errors I am having. Noting that all my other cores work perfectly. I even scanned my SD card for errors.

I tried Mario Bros on three MiSTers and didn't have any issues. Thanks for testing. I'd think it was my SD card, but literally every other core and rom I throw are it are working fine. Even removed my inline power switch. Same results. I've deleted and replaced the files multiple times at this point. I've even deleted config settings. It's totally bizarre. I'm at a loss.

Exactly what is happening to me most times. So we have at least 2 people who are having issues with this.

Only issue I had was that Mario ran in the right direction all the time, then I reset the mister, and it all went away.

I already made a report on the GitHub project page, but I’ve noticed that enemy sprites are walking backwards. Anyone else see this?
