According the the GitHub page, the first Main Mister released was on 2018-05-02, is this correct or did we get releases prior to this (not counting the MiST Project)?

That’s before my time with MiSTer… but I understand that the project itself started in 2017… although 2018 might be when files were checked into GitHub.

You'd probably have to dig through the MiST section over on the Atari Forums to find an exact date.
I know part of the impetus for Sorg developing the Mister was the lack of a good, affordable scaler to use with the Mist.
The last post to the Mist scaler thread was from Sorg himself Feb. 15 2018.
That's not a definite indication of when work began or when anything was released. But it might be a good indication when the search for an external scaler ended.

Well the project clearly started in 2017, but I didn't anything about a first release date for the main MiSTer. Too bad, I really wanted to know the birthday of the 1st release.
