What is the difference between this one and the official one from 22.02.2022?

The MegaAGS team does not provide packs, only the tools to make them. May be they could make update tools but someone would have to make the packs. Considering the amount of work to make the tools I doubt they would make updates. It is only my personal opinion as I have no relation to the team.

It wouldn’t be if it was uploaded to mega or some other host that gives better download speeds.

You are right about that but there has been some progress: recently one download failed near the end and I was able to resume it. I remember the time when multi GB downloads failed near the end and I had to restart from zero.

Has the framework update to Minimig released yesterday affected the 5x scaling ? It doesn't seem to work anymore

Mega now makes you jump through hoops if the file is >5GB. Other hosts can also be sketchy or only good for limited time.

Archive is fine, as long as you upload your stuff as one file, so it can make a torrent. Torrent speeds are much better and most importantly can be resumed.

I can see how this new feature interferes with the kind of backdoor way Minimig is able to change video settings at runtime (or was, but I haven’t updated to check yet).

Update: I just updated everything to latest and the “dynamic scaling/viewport adjustment” seem to work as before.

I guess Roadwar 2000 is still missing? That looks like a game that SPS missed, it's not in their catalog, but you can get ADFs elsewhere. Won't be as pristine as an SPS version, but if they don't have it.....

I can try to track it down and see if I can package it, if that would be helpful. You just seem to have a very specific methology, and I haven't dug into how you're doing things.

The pack is based around WHD installs. Roadwar2000 is missing in the pack since nobody did a whdload install for it as yet. I suppose doing this game is not so easy - else someone would have done it years ago.

For the record, this discussion continued over in the original release thread, and doesn’t seem to be reproducible by anyone yet — multiple people have confirmed that everything works as it used to.

Wow, not even WHDLoad.de has Roadwar 2000 in their inventory. Nobody has ever bothered bringing it forward.

Of course, it was a port of an 8-bit game, and it's probably well-behaved. It may not even need WHDload to run. I'll see if I can scare it up and figure out how to package it.

Possibly interesting trivia: The original disk has a Roadwar 2000 main program file on it. It also has the binary a second time, called "Raodwar 2000", with no info file. I think they copied it onto the disk twice to make it look like you were getting a bigger game. It was a port from the 8-bits, and 880K floppies were gigantic in comparison. I guess they thought "20% full", or whatever it actually was, didn't pass muster.

Hey guys,

I played Lionheart today and it crashes at the dragon shmup stage, at the end when it would load the boss. Played everything again, crashes. Then loaded a floppy disk (4 disks) and it played ok. Is it a bug on mega ags?

Is there by any chance a plain text list of all of the games that come included in this pack somewhere? I found the 'titles.csv' file on Github that has it, but I was hoping to just acquire the game titles by themselves.

I also did not find a list of all the games included in the pack. For the MegaAGS favorites, I did take the titles.csv and removed everything where the id does not start with "game--" and where redundant is "1". I think this comes pretty close to the actual content.

Not a bad idea, but even that method will still leave a bunch of unnecessary info. Eventually, I'll try to figure something out

I'm not sure how interested anyone would be but MegaAGS runs beautifully using fs-uae on the Steamdeck.

I'm very interested, however I won't get my Steamdeck until 3rd quarter.

Is there a place to post issues for MegaAGS builds? Another World always gives audio problems during the intro, specifically when he presses the keypad. If I just run the game with a standard A500 setup with kickstart 1.3 and manually load the floppy image it plays just fine.

Such issues are most likely due to problems with WHDLoad or the Minimig core itself. WHDL is wonderful in general, but a lot of slaves have bugs, and the core isn't 1:1 either. It's best to check the Mantis bugtracker if there's a report already. Aside from the AGS git, you can always post in the Minimig subforum too. Amiga is my priority core, and I will always try to these issues myself and possibly file a report on Minimig's github.

In this case, I checked an independent WHDLoad install on my own hdf (in PAL mode) vs WinUAE A500 floppy version, and tbh it seems fine to me - but I don't have the best ear for music/sound. The MegaAGS version (I'm using one before the most recent) is set to NTSC, which produces one tiny gfx glitch in the intro and music is slightly faster - perhaps that might make it sound like there's a problem?

Its just that not all the keypad sounds can be heard. Some are missed on MegaAGS, but not when I just setup Minimig to a normal a500 setup and loading the Floppy image.

To be clear, you mean when Lester gets out of the lift and dials in the security code? I get a beep for every key press, even in NTSC, though there it sounds a bit worse than PAL.

You can try to "Force PAL" in the MegaAGS Settings and see if this still happens.

The default MegaAGS settings are for PAL, aren't they? So that they can do that specific magnification that fills an NTSC screen?

If you try copying the default config over and loading that, it might potentially fix your problem.

The AGS menu is NTSC and each game is assigned an NTSC or PAL default and will launch in that mode, unless you use the temporary override in AGS options to force PAL or NTSC. Magnification isn't an issue, all NTSC games will be 5x, most PAL games have custom 5x cut settings, and any that don't will revert to filling 1080p @ 4x, if you used the included mister minimig config file.

Hi everyone !

Did any of you notice that using the vadjust file (provided / generated by MegaAGS for 4x scaling) did trigger some bugs in the Minimig core ? (especially in combination with RTG). I get some random grey screen after modes switching requiring *cold reset of the MiSTer*. I removed this file a few weeks back and haven't been able to reproduce the issue since then while it used to occur every day !

Yep I know I mentioned it on several threads... I mention it again as it was a file I got from MegaAGS and which is used by many of you.
