Adding and accessing 2nd VHD hard disk

I can make the VHD disk in Windows using disk management, format it as FAT, copy over the VHD to mister. I can change to the drive (cd D:) while in DOS while using the ao486 core on Mister.

However the .vhd seems to be unusable, something about invalid media or something, abort, cancel, fail error message appears in DOS.

Am I missing any steps preparing the VHD?

Did you pick MBR (vs GUID) partition scheme?

I would suggest to partition the VHD on ao486 with 'fdisk' and formatting it using 'format'.

You can then copy it back over and should be able to mount it in disk management to add games and apps.

The 2nd VHD works fine for me, but it is an image that can boot as 1st VHD.
I suppose you could just copy one of your working images and replace the contents.
