Looks great! But I'm having a hard time getting this to run, or indeed, any of the Cave cores to run anymore.

I'm getting a "Mode Not Supported" from my monitor, which usually means I need to add a line for vsync_adjust=1 in Mister.ini, but that doesn't seem to be working. (I assume this core is just called "Cave?")

Here is my little tribute to this great game.

Noticed a little bit of glitching at 19:40 on the video, just pointing out if it helps with bug tracking etc.

I also push the video Pateron with a permenant link to it on the screen.

Finally, a fully working version of the core and mras.
This core has always been a hit or miss where some mras worked and others gave a black screen regardless of the settings (video frequency and memory used). Before today the last version gave me a black screen for all mras .
Today there was an update of the core and mras: all mras are now working on my MISTer using HDMI.
Thanks to the developer and whoever fixed the core and mras.

More info on the update:

Now I understand why I had problems with the core: I only have a 32MB SDRAM and Josh did some magic to have the core running properly with only 32MB.
Thanks so much.

yes! The service menu has recently been fixed and there's an ' invert screen' option there.

Is there something I don't get about how to use the service menu? I go in there to enable Free Play, but when I exit back to the game it's still asking for credits. I go back in the service menu and I see that Free Play is Off again. How do you make this stay active?

Thanks again for such an awesome core and awesome game being added!

I do have a question though, I use the Update All script and while the CAVE core folder has most of the games, DDP seems to be not in that folder or the Core folder or the manufacturer folder. It's just listed in the main group. It's not even in the A-B alphabetic folder.

Any idea why it's not being sorted correctly?

Thanks again for the awesome core!

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same issue. I always search by Core and somehow DoDonPachi never gets added to the CAVE folder. Shinobi is also missing from the Sega System 16 folder/s. It’s a minor annoyance, but I guess it’s an issue with the arcade organiser missing the files somehow.

I’ve run into an issue with Guwange on the Cave Core if anyone can help me please?

The game was working perfectly the first time I ran update_all several weeks ago. Since I ran another update_all I can’t start a game because the insert coin doesn’t register any credits. I get the chime sound effect, but the counter stays on zero. I’m guessing I have a dodgy mra perhaps? Do I need to find a different version from somewhere? I only played it a couple times and it was awesome! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone been able to get these Cave cores working over direct_video to a 15khz monitor?

It varies for some people it does work i think it might depend on the monitor but i am unsure, i never got it working since final release. It did work in the past long time ago. Then it got finalized and stopped working.

So this obviously sounds correct but the problem is to back out of the service menu it instructs you to press 'SW Bord Test' and another similar thing - presumably a switch on the motherboard. However Ive no idea how that translate into the mister - it doesn't ask for it in the joypad setup at least.

In a lot of cores the service switch is activated or toggled by a menu setting like ‘service mode on’ or something like that. I can’t remember off the top of my head if Guwange has one or not but I’m pretty sure it does.
