Games Playable : 33 66%
Games Runnable: 8 16%
Games Not Working: 9 18%
Total Games: 50
Runnable games load to at least a game splash but you can't progress into the game. That's pretty damn good for a WIP core. Hopefully there is a new one to test soon.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
You need to be using the build that Kitrinx posted on the discord a week or so back, which also requires dual ram. On that build Super Burnout is playable.djsquare wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 2:20 am I just played Super Burnout on a real Jaguar system and it was pretty cool and fun. The game starts with the Jag core but you can't actually able to load any race any tracks properly but the Jag core I have is from 2020 February 26...haha that's actually today.

Thanks for the heads up but I must be blind because I'm not seeing it in the "test-builds" sectionMoondandy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 10:20 amYou need to be using the build that Kitrinx posted on the discord a week or so back, which also requires dual ram. There is no download link, go to the discord server and search for the post Kitrinx made.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
I don't really care for the rbf myself, it's just it's not the first time when Discord sounds like some sort of special club. And I'd rather think we're one MiSTer community.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
It's not a special club, it's public and open to all and everyone here has been invited in the post below. As with this forum, anyone with a web browser can access it.akeley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 6:41 pm Unless it's in a private chat or explicitly asked not to be shared, I fail to see the problem. Both forums and Discord are public platforms after all.

If the Jaguar core was really worth sharing widely it would have already been done so by now. The way the core stands now, it's really unstable. It also uses an unsupported configuration (Dual SDRAM modules).

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
I'm well aware of how Discord works, but we're here on the forum, and there clearly is interest in the core (unstable as it may be) so why not just post it.
Which is what Annette has just done (thanks!), it's been downloaded several times already, and we can all move on.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
Lets not get all tinfoil hat here. The mister discord community is a good place to be if you want to be on the bleeding edge of core changes, as there's regular test builds for feedback, 1 on 1 debugging of issues, and other things that benefit from a live chat medium.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
Yes, but these are not the same TOS. At the time of accepting the TOS of a service it also matters what the terms are, who controls the service, and often, where they are. The MiSTer forum's terms do not include a clause like this: "...disputes that are not subject to arbitration will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, and you and Discord both consent to venue and personal jurisdiction in these courts". Being in Spain, that's a problem for me. Not that I plan to have any such dispute, but accidents happen. There's a reason why legal insurance exists, and I don't have one.Chris23235 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 5:41 am You mean in the same way as the user accepts the misterfpga.org TOS when setting up an account?
So, I'd say it's much more relevant to mention that Discord is not actually open to everyone, but only to those willing to register, than to say the same thing of the forum, even though many people still prefer not to register.
If it were IRC, things would be different. Many IRC servers do not require registration nor acceptance of any TOS, and that *is* open to all and everyone with an internet connection. It's also a chat, allowing for many of the things that Kitrinx has mentioned.
More exactly, to anyone willing to register (accepting the TOS is implicit in registering).Chris23235 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 5:41 am I guess this means you would say the sentence "The MiSTer forum is public and open to all end everyone." should be modified to "The MiSTer forum is public and open to all end everyone who accepts the MiSTer Forum TOS?"
I know I should not have replied, sorry. I won't reply to any other posts related to this.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
Some exciting emulator news- have you all heard of BigPEmu? Apparently the creator of the Jaguar emulator for the recent Atari 50th anniversary collection released it as a standalone. Some impressive links:
The emulator: https://www.richwhitehouse.com/jaguar/index.php
An Atari Jaguar owner discussing this with demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg563-sR5ik
The emulator creator [Rich Whitehouse]'s Youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIcAdJ0mf40
My immediate thought was how we politely ask him to join the dev team here...

Unless he can do FPGA dev he would be mostly pointless. The Jaguar core we have is based off the original Atrai Netlists. There is no shortage of information just that the core is a nightmare to debug.

Apart from the difference between FPGA and x86 programming, I sadly think the author of the Emu has other priorities at the moment:

I wish him best of luck from all my heart.

Re: Atari Jaguar Core
Wow- I thought by 'priorities' the link would lead to news of him working on a even more complicated emulator or tech project...
Let's hope he beats the odds and beyond.
Re: Atari Jaguar Core
Just picked up one of these http://www.2600-daptor.com/Jaguar-daptor.htm
I'm not sure if anyone is interested but they work great with the core for what games will run. All the numeric keys work just fine. Shipping came very fast up here in WA state in the US.
I've been playing Defender 2000 for about 20 minutes and feels like I'm at some 90s rave party going insane.
