I downloaded and launched this amazing-looking game. However, I can't get past the "press fire to start" screen. It plays the music and cycles through the title and high scores but doesn't respond to my button press.

Turn on Swap Joysticks in OSD menu (F12)

It always warms my heart to see these modern versions, especially when they add content. It shows how good our old machines were, given infinite time and motivation to design games for them!
