Thoughts on this power supply?

Unread post by naylord »

I'm up in Canada so the standard pitches of power supplies to buy usually are US links or are slightly more expensive than I"d like. I saw this and I think it's the right stats and I'm curious if anyone has gotten this one:

After a quick look at the reviews and seeing these two comments.

Sure they where for 9V and 24V versions but i would NOT let this near my beloved, i mean my DE-10 NANO ;)
It is probably a cheap generic powersupply and there is probably a BIG chance that the internals change all the time depending on what is cheapest during the week before of manufacturing.
Which means you will never know what you will get.
Unfortunately this item cannot be shielded. I used it for a phone as its the proper Voltage. However when the phone is in use with this plugged in.
Product only worked for 10 min. it does not turn on most of the time, goes off when load is applied even if load is only less then 10 Watts

Get a Delta ADP-15AR AA 4A (20W) model, otherwise known as an EPS-2 adapter.
They are all over eBay because they are common to power cable modems.
They are well made and work great for the MiSTer...
