TSConf vhd image not working

Unread post by Chris23235 »

I tried to get the TSConf core running, but had no luck in creating a vhd. I created a 128MB vhd (non MBR) and formatted it in FAT32 then I copied the contents of the SDCARD.ZIP from the repository to the vhd together with some spg and wmf files.

When I try to run the core I get a message that no FAT32 system is found. I also tried to load the vhd (named boot.vhd) from within the core, but the result is the same. Can anyone tell me what I do wrong or has anyone a working vhd file?

Look for "htgdb mister" on archive.org, they have a working .vhd there.

CRT SCR$ Project - building a collection of high-quality photos of CRT displays
CRT ART Books - retro-gaming books with authentic CRT photos

Many thanks!

EDIT: This vhd worked, no idea why mine didn't maybe the TSConf doesn't like an 128MB hdd size? Now I am finally able to play Land of the Rustlers which always looked so good and it is a really nice game.

I had the same problem. Think I "cannibalised" a ZX Next vhd in the end

Might be a silly question, but what exactly is TSconf? Is it a Speccy clone? Or more than that?

It's a little more than a Speccy clone. Better than the ZX Next one in some way :)

From where did you get the TSConf core for MiST FPGA?
