Hi guys
I have a doubt, I've gotten a Guncon 3 without sensors at a local flea market. I have seen that there is already a possibility to build a replacement for these sensors but I would also like to check some possibilities before embarking on another welding project (my desk has many pending of these). And it occurred to me that I could try a sensor bar for Wii that works via USB and it is that, as I understand it, they work with the same technology. The question is, has anyone done this test? It has worked?.
I'd like to hear from someone with some experience on this.
Regards.

Re: Guncon 3 with Wii Sensor Bar
Unfortunately Wii sensor bar does not work. The wavelengths of the IR LEDs are different and the Guncon 3 expects them to be in a very specific orientation (as per their packaged "sensors").
I think a DIY, 3D printable solution is in the works. Effectively you'll need 3x850nm IR LEDs (per "sensor") in series with a resistor to a 5V supply and in the correct triangular orientation.
