No Video Signal
No Video Signal
I haven’t been messing around with the MiSTer for well over a year and decided to dust it off and give it a spin. I never got the Wifi working on it so I had to do an offline update. I wiped the SD (without backing up ) and transferred all the needed files… I think. Now there is no video signal. All the right lights are flashing when I turn it on. Tried to do it all over again three or four times, cleaned the connectors on the SD - still nothing. I may have forgotten an important step, but can’t figure out what. As mentioned, it’s been a while since my last MiSTer adventure.

Post your mister.ini and describe what display are you connecting to and how.

Re: No Video Signal
Haven’t messed with the ini. Tested it before making the new SD and it worked just fine. I just use HDMI on a 4K monitor. Also tested it om my 4K TV, just to make sure it wasn’t the monitor.

Re: No Video Signal
Are you sure you actually have mister.ini on your SD now? It's the file which controls all the video settings, so it's important to make sure it is okay first.
If you were updating "by hand" it's quite possible it's missing. Have you used Mr.Fusion SD creation method, btw?

I am absolutely not. I’ll check first thing tomorrow. And no, I haven’t used the Mr.Fusion SD creation. So, if I do that, it’ll just reset the system to basics? That would be pretty awsome. But I’ll check for the ini first.akeley wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 7:15 pm Are you sure you actually have mister.ini on your SD now? Re: No Video Signal
Mr fusion wipes and installs the latest Mister
So its back to a clean system. If that doesnt display your issues lie elsewhere
NOTE you will lose everything on the SD Card so backup your games !

That’s great! Thanks. Now I have something to go on. Can’t imagine it’s the hardware being faulty.
