It worked for me, put it in the mister and it worked too. I had to install Java 17 first.

Win11 here. I've installed Java 17, the App runs just fine. I put "ffight.zip" and "sfa3.zip" in. It reports a successful rom build....but there is NOTHING in the results folders...

Will Mame Getter or HBMame Getter grab this one at some point? Be nice if a script could grab a premade copy of this one.

It's weird that even though the patch is done successfully. But when I run it on the MiSTer the sound doesn't sound right. It's kind of low volume and crappy. I wonder if I patched wrong ffight.zip & sfa3.zip files. I simply just get these two files from existing MiSTer's mame folder. Can someone share these two files' CRC32 numbers so I can verify if I have the correct ones.

I made the rom using the 2 zips which I had on the mame folder (downloaded via mame getter) I did not noticed the sound problem but also I did not used it too much. Today I ran the update all script and noticed that the mra was updated and also mame getter downloaded the rom, thus overwriting the one I created, I did not have a chance to test it.
Run the update all script and you should get the correct rom, if ever the one you built was wrong. Let us know if you hear any difference.

I may be entirely mistaken, but doesn't FF AE itself 'borrow heavily' (read: grossly violates copyright) from the original material (graphics and sound assets)?

I don't see the point in that, it's not supposed to be a new game and it isn't sold for money, it is what it says it is: a new version of an old game. But, just like the original rom, it is not a good idea to share it here directly.
I had no problem converting the files in my computter, then I shared them with somebody who asked privately. In any case they are now grabbed by update_all so everybody can enjoy it.

Anyone else having a reset glitch?
I can't get through the Damnd fight. The 2nd time he jumps back and whistles, the game resets.
It also can't get through the 2nd loop of attract mode, as a reset happens whenever the subway stage is shown.

Would it be at all possible to add the latest HBMame variants of this game such as ffightaebv "brutal version" etc.?

i've just tested the first few levels and i had no crashes or freezes as well as letting the attract run for about 10 minutes and there were no resets.
i didn't compile my own file - i'm pretty sure i just relied on update_all to grab my copy...

Hi!
Although I do seem to have the correct roms for Final Fight AE CPS2 the game just shows a black screen after booting. All I can do ist the settings...
Does it work for you guys?
