CPS2 Alien vs Predator No Sound

hello, I have a sound problem with the game CPS2 Alien vs predator.
i try with Jack or hdmi and nothing work... have no sound, I obviously deleted the rom of the games and try an update_all but nothing to do...
it's just on this game. thx for your help.

Try the dip switch settings.

Some Arcade games have the sound off by default. To listen you simply have to turn it back on in the dip settings. Be warned some games like this require two controllers to activate and save settings in the dip switches. So either make sure you have a second controller handy or use a keyboard for player 2.

It's not dips, these are baked into the MRA. I would ensure you have the qsound.zip

My bad, for some reason I thought he was talking about demos for these arcade games. Follow atrac instructions forget what I said.

i have the qsound.zip in the rom folder, i have try with other qsound version and the game have no sound all the time.
the sound is not in mute, all other game need qsound work perfect, it's just for avsp that don't work...

Did you try the alternatives of AVp in the alternatives folder ?

no sound with all version, all alternatives too.
i have delt all rom and update all but the new rom don't work :/

I'm having the same problem.

I have qsound.zip in the \games\mame folder, have tried the alternative roms, but still no sound in any version of Aliens VS Predator. Looked around in the settings but didn't find anything that fixed the sound. Tried several other CPS2 games, and all the ones I tried output sound fine.

Just gave it a test and music/sound fx are working.

I thought maybe the new update_all was grabbing different versions so I renamed the 2 zip files and let it re-download them, but the newly downloaded ones still have the same hash and sound is OK in-game.

Hmm, I'm getting a different hash for avsp.zip, and the PC Downloader isn't grabbing a new copy, I assume because I haven't had the opportunity to directly connect my MiSTer to the internet and use Update_All 2.0 yet. Guess I'll have to try that sometime.

Ok, seems to be working now after running Update_all 2.0 (Had to disconnect my MiSTer from my setup and take it into the room with my router to connect it to the internet).

thats always the best solution. delete what does not run well and let update_all load it fresh.
