Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
Those Xerox machines were using custom-built processors that, in their early incarnations, apparently didn't even use transistors. Finding documentation on those, that an FPGA developer can read, could be really difficult.
Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
DECO Cassette System would be amazing. These things are hard to come by and had quite a few games.

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
I've heard the discussion of the challenges with Laserdisc games being analog, where 'rips' are not possible like CD/DVD .ISO files. Thus, the Pioneer Laseractive, RDI Halcyon, and Arcade games like Dragon's Lair would be a challenge, but never say never [we have the Konix prototype now].
On that line of thought are CED-disc based games. Until then, if others would like to preserve the footage, you may want to check out this super rare upgrade to a certain NFL based game:
Bally Midway NFL Football Cowboys vs. Redskins (Blue Caddy) FULL Arcade CED Videodisc (AUDIO 'A')

Huge thanks for implementing one of those "how is it possible that there's still no core for this one" arcade games.jimmystones wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:03 pm In case you missed it, I released Missile Command a couple of days ago
I still keep my fingers crossed for another of these, the Taito L System.
Converters I've written: Floppy DIM/FDI/FDD/HDM to D88, D88 to XDF, Tape SVI 318/328 CAS to WAV

That is awesome! Thank you! Now, if only it were still possible to get one of those large, old school Atari track balls... haha!jimmystones wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:03 pmIn case you missed it, I released Missile Command a couple of days agoElMariachi003 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 1:09 am Just a humble Arcade core wishlist:

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
My wishlist is getting close to being fulfilled
Most of my preferred arcade cores have been released or are close to being released, plenty of consoles and computers to play with, MiSTer is an embarrassment of riches for me these days.
Just hoping for Elevator Action and its follow-up Elevator Action Returns to appear as arcade cores, let's cross fingers

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
VP1 and the Raiden Fighters games would certainly be nice to have someday, even though I have a Seibu SP1.
Never played the original arcade Raiden DX much, how does it differ from the PS1 version?

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
Here's my wishlist in order of preference. I'm leaving Saturn off, as it's obviously on the way.
Console:
1. 3DO
2. Jaguar
3. FM Towns Marty
4. Amiga CD32
5. Neo Geo CD
Arcade:
Sega Model 1 (possible!?!)
Very happy with computer cores - can't think of any that I want as pretty much everything is covered!

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
X68000 (100% functional)
It still seems like the holy grail will remain tantalisingly out of reach.
Jaguar core for Tempest 2000 alone, another holy grail!

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
How about a TI-83 core? A lot of people grew up with those calculators and there were a lot of fun games & apps written for it.
I see that there is a TI-99 computer core already written so perhaps a lot of the work is already done?

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
I'm a huge fan of beatem ups so here is my list of games I want on the MiSTer.
Guardians: Denjin Makai 2
Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder
Battletoads
Spiderman & Venom Maximum Carnage alt text
Hook
Metamorphic Force
Undercover Cops
Blade Master
Growl
Karate Blazers
Silent Dragon
Vendetta
X-men
Night Slashers
Oriental Legend
Shadow Force
Sengoku 1-3
Warriors of Fate
If there is a dev working on these cores please let me know so I can send some coffee money their way.
I literally just got done playing Streets of Rage 1 on the Genesis core and then Punisher for the arcade on my MiSTer back to back. I will probably play Final Fight on one of the many options (Sega CD, X68000, SNES, ect...) I have available to me because of MiSTer. That is if I don't get sucked into trying to finally beat Castlevania on the X68000.

NAMCO system22
SEGA Model2
i wonder if those are possible given we can get some 3D systems already, but those could be just a lil bit too advanced

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
Not sure if it's possible (68LC040 processor) but I'd love a more modern Mac, such as the LC475. My first Mac after I switched from Acorn Archimedes machines.
