MiSTer Power Button

Unread post by peke »

Hi to all!, here is my mister, love it!, not the fancy one but fits perfect on my old retro games furniture.

I want to add some kind of power button (interruptor) on the front, since power connection is on the back and plug in/out is not comfortable.

some ideas? does DE-10 nano have a power switch pinout?

thanks to all

You will need an in-line switch like this or perhaps use a "smart" mains plug? The official IO board has no way of supplying/cutting DC to the DE10-Nano like something like the MiSTer Multisystem or Ironclad unfortunately.

I'm using Tasmota-ready smart switches for my MiSTer and wrote a small "shutdown" script, which unmounts mounted network shares and finally sends a "power off in 10 seconds" to the smart switch.
Powering on is done either by a button or by a network command. I'm an old and lazy man :)

Are you using a digital or an analog IO board? If it's the digital one, there's an on/off switch on the side.

It's currently sold out, but I've been using d0pefish's switch for the past year and it's great:
