I have just released a new MiSTer FPGA Arcade Core for the 1983 game 'Exerion'.

I had a love/hate relationship with the cocktail version of this game back in the day. The floaty controls drove me nuts! ...but it keeps you coming back for sure.

What kind of technical background do you have that you felt like you could take this on? Just curious.

Hello! Has anyone managed to star the core? I am using update 2.0 but it does not download the zip.rom. I found exeriont.zip but when I load the core it will always say prom6.4s is missing even though it is definitely in the rom folder. Has it it got something to do with merged or split romset? In the mra file of exerion there is also a prom 5.4p but when mister loads the core it does not say its missing.

Can someone help me please what is wrong

Provvisorily I took the three unmerged mame sets I have from mame folder and put them in one zip and it works

PS: you have to name the romset as "exerion.zip"

Hi, for now just look for the merged rom and use the edited version of the .MRA kindly provided by @lamarax.

Yeah, xterc may want to look at implementing flip-screen, as well as the latest framework.

I have found an issue that needs an additional patch line in the MRA file to circumvent a protection check.

If there is an entry in the 17th slot of the hi-score table the game goes into a continue loop. This was encountered at the Houston Area Expo and is patched here. I will update the GitHub tomorrow.
