World Rally Fever Help to Run It

Unread post by kold666 »

I downloaded this game from Exodos collection and added manually to Total Dos launcher.

It stops loading after the Microprose / Team 17 logo

Has anyone succesfully tried this game in AO486?
It's a cool Power drift like racing game

I still own the boxed version of this, and on the box it says
"486 DX2 66, and 8Meg RAM" - for minimal requirements, which would have been about right for a 1996 game.
Perhaps the 486SX, that this core uses, isn't up to it ?

If I am not wrong this core emulates a 486DX up to 90mhz

Nope: 486SX (no FPU).

And it's clocked at 90MHz, but the AO486 code is much less efficient than the real chips were, so the actual performance is around 486SX-33 level.
