I did a quick search but I didn't turn up anything. I was wondering if anyone is working on a core for the Aliens (1990) arcade game by Konami?

Thank you for making me aware of this.redsteakraw wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 3:04 am I am hoping for Simpsons and X-men at some point and am donating to Furrtek's patreon. https://www.patreon.com/furrtek/posts I would recommend you do the same if you care about that core and Konami arcade cores.

Re: Aliens Core (1990)
I haven't seen any Youtube/Twitter updates re Aliens-Konami hardware for a while other than him saying he was hoping to get TMNT out before the end of the year.
Im subbed upto Jotego on Patreon, so unfortunately don't have the spare $ to stay upto date.
Thanks.

I think you can get on Furrtek's Patreon for like $2. And it's billed only when they make a post. Not monthly like most other Patreons out there.Fpg-lee wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 1:52 pm Where is the progress at as of today?

Hopefully Furrtek who's finishing up TMNT can continue this work since it's on the same? hardware.

Re: Aliens Core (1990)
Furrtek has said recently that after TMNT is done, he wants to focus on documenting individual components (open sourced) instead of writing cores. So hopefully his work will help, but it will still be up to someone else to implement it.
Re: Aliens Core (1990)

Did i miss an update ?
Stell get this yellowed screen and a message that some roms are missing ?
This game is so good.

Still has Beta status. Only patreon supporter can play it yet. The rest have to wait for an official release.

Are you a Patreon member? I am, and I think in the past when these betas have gone public I've had to sometimes delete the old rbf/mra for the core and then run update_all to start fresh

Got it ... What a Alien Blast. Funny that those oldschool Alien Games are still best...
Running perfect.
Thanks for the tip --- erase old core !!
Request:
If anybody do have a good looking filter setup please let me know.
Mine looks okay but not very happy with it.

Sure, check under MiSTer Video Processing Presets:
https://misterreplay.com/vault.html
There's an all-purpose one for arcade games as well as a couple of alternatives for tweaking. Other presets for C64/Amiga, but requires you also download the matching shadow mask (below, on the same page).
These will look great if you've got a calibrated screen. The more "off" your monitor is set, the worse it'll look, but that's nothing to do with the presets.
