Dinoforce an Unreleased PC Engine Game Now Available

PCE Works have just released a previously unpublished horizontal shmup for the PC Engine, the Dinoforce game ROM file can be downloaded free of charge. Enjoy!

The sound is very similar to Circus Lido by the same publisher/developer Uni Post. I quite enjoyed the other game although it lacked some final polish.

Is there some good write-up on Uni Post and the history of this unreleased game?

I don’t think so, but apparently this release came from the original author (with some polishing by others), so an interview with the original author should still be possible.

There are some cheat codes that I can share...

Sound Test
At the title screen, press I, II and Run.

Start with 100 000 power (10 lives)
At the title screen, press II, I and Select. You will hear a chime. Then press Run to start the game with some extra "power".
