Yes. You need 5V on pin 9 of VGA port. So analog io board is required

I just bought Antonio's new MikeS board but can't get it to work. I have composite_sync=1 in my ini file, the sync on green switch is off, and I already had the 5v jumper on to power Antonio's previous s-video transcoder. I'm using a Sony Trinitron with s-video and changed the video setting in Mike's cores to s-vid. I just get a black and white image that won't sync on my set. Any suggestions?

I don't actually own one of those adapters, but I think there's a toggle switch for ntsc and pal settings. Try switching that

I have it set to ntsc. Should have mentioned that too. I also tested composite and that is working fine. Only s-video is a problem.

Have you tried using a different s-video cable? Or test it on another TV that has S-video input?
